Boston office of our client seeks junior patent attorney with 1-3 years of software/hardware patent preparation and prosecution experience. The candidate will be drafting and prosecuting quality patent applications; particularly relating to electrical, computer science, networking, and mechanical technologies. Working autonomously, yet maintaining communication with Partners; and cultivating relationships with the Firm's existing and future clients. General knowledge of computer systems, computer networking, and software/hardware is essential. USPTO registration is required. Must be licensed to practice law in at least one state. Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is desired; other high-technical degrees such as mechanical, mathematics, physics are acceptable with appropriate experience.

Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; Ability to exercise independent judgment, and to work with and maintain confidential and sensitive information; Ability to handle work assignments consisting of major legal tasks for which considerable legal judgment, experience, and independent reasoning are required; and Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software. Must have strong academics, law firm experience, and superb research and writing skills.
