Senior Attorney

Miami office of our client seeks a senior attorney with some experience. The candidate will organize and maintain files to ensure accuracy for other attorneys, paralegals, and staff. Draft documents such as correspondence, pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, settlement agreements, and contracts to be used in proceedings and contract negotiations. Resolve cases efficiently by using communicating effectively with and working alongside senior attorneys and paralegals. Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior associate attorneys. Review client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of action. Develop and independently execute tactical and strategic case decisions. Work substantive knowledge of business and commercial litigation issues. Advanced legal writing ability. Preparation and arguing of dispositive motion and evidentiary hearing. Trial of non-jury cases; jury trials are a plus. Offer guidance and direction to junior attorneys and staff. Must be a member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association). Must have successfully passed the State Bar exam. Must be a member of The Florida Bar in good standing for 6 or more years. Must be admitted to U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

The candidate must have a J.D. degree required from an accredited law school. Must have the willingness to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow client base. Must have exceptional communication skills and problem-solving skills needed in order to work with all levels of staff and clients.
