Winnebago office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks an economic development/cannabis associate attorney with 3+ years of experience in tribal economic development, real estate transactions, and cannabis regulations and compliance. The candidate will work on cases in a variety of areas including entity formation, governance, tax exemption and compliance, formation of commercial agreements, loan documents, and development of programs to assist community economic opportunities. This position also includes navigating legal processes, regulations, and compliance within the cannabis industry. Knowledge of or experience working with Indian law and/or tribal courts is preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office and cloud-based computing environment is preferred. Must be an active admission to any State Bar, with the ability to become licensed in Nebraska.
The candidate must have a J.D. from an ABA-accredited Law School. Must have attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures. Must have ability to effectively interact, orally and in writing. Must have a self-starter with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities with roll-up sleeves and a team-oriented attitude. Must have exceptional organizational skills, juggling priorities and adhering to strict deadlines. Must have first-rate academic credentials and references. Must have superior research, writing and analytical skills and technology oriented. Must have commitment to participating in the firms marketing and public relations initiatives, including joining associations, securing leadership roles, and conducting webinars, seminars, and speaking engagements.
