Boston office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a managing attorney with 4+ years of legal experience as a managing attorney, litigation associate, or court employee. The candidate will provide assistance and support in all areas of the litigation practice. Will be responsible for all court filings (e-filings or traditional paper) as well as service of process for court documents. Responsible for docketing/calendaring services for all cases in the state and federal court, arbitration forums, and administrative agencies and monitors the flow of information in all litigation matters handled by those offices, as well as oversees a national docket staff. Supervise, delegate and track court filing, retrieval, and information services assignments to staff. Keep abreast of Firm-wide calendaring and filing systems, policies, and protocols, and verify the Firms calendaring and filing systems, policies, and protocols. Maintain a docket for each pending matter before a court, arbitration panel, or governmental agency. Monitor the courts, court websites, as well as various online services for decisions, opinions, and developments in all pending matters. Provide and/or draft court forms and sample documents. Provide procedural advice to attorneys, other professionals, and staff as needed. Manage firmwide docketing staff. Assist Firm attorneys with court filings and service of process to ensure that they are timely and in compliance with court rules and procedures. Review all incoming documents, court papers, etc., docket the appropriate due dates, and notify the attorneys of the developments in their case. Keep abreast of developments, procedures, rules, and requirements in the forums where the firm practices, as well as general state and federal practice. Remain current on industry trends, new technology, and practices relevant to litigation docketing services. Provide electronic and paper court filing and service of process services. Maintain a log of attorneys' logins and passwords for all e-filing jurisdictions. Assist attorneys with registration for e-filing. Respond to inquiries by attorneys and paralegals and offer overall support to those individuals Provide seminars/training programs and continuing legal education for attorneys, paralegals, and secretaries as to court rules, requirements and procedures, and docketing systems, policies, and protocols. Collaborate with management on initiatives and services and look for cross-departmental opportunities. Handle all issues arising from service of process, including engaging process servers, skip tracers, etc. Communicate clearly to staff and internal clients the services provided by the Managing Attorney and any new policies and procedures adopted. Maintain positive, collaborative relationships with court personnel and colleagues in other firms. Must have a current New York State Bar Admission. Must have knowledge of New York federal, state, and local court rules, procedures, and practices. Substantial experience computing calendar deadlines for federal and state courts essential. Expertise in NYSCEF, eFileMA, NJ eCourts, CaseFileXPress, federal court CM/ECF electronic filing, and indexing protocols and rules needed. Experience with CompuLaw and CompuLaw MyView is essential. Westlaw/Lexis and PACER research experience needed.

The candidate should have the ability to teach others how to electronically file documents in various federal and state courts. Must have the ability to interact with all levels of Firm personnel, including attorneys, secretaries, paralegals, and administrative staff. Must have strong customer/client service, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
