A reputable law firm located in Basking Ridge, NJ, is actively seeking a seasoned Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney with 3-6 years of hands-on experience. This position is being filled through a legal recruitment partner on behalf of the firm. Duties:

• Develop and implement strategic litigation plans

• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders

• Draft pleadings, legal memoranda, discovery responses, and motions

• Conduct and defend depositions

• Argue motions in court and participate in mediations and trial proceedings

• Analyze legal issues and provide sound guidance aligned with court procedures

• Maintain active case management and reporting

• Collaborate with team members on complex defense matters

Requirements:

• 3 to 6 years of direct experience in insurance defense litigation

• Proficiency in New Jersey court procedures and litigation rules

• Demonstrated success in handling cases involving:

  • Premises liability

  • Motor vehicle negligence (including UM and UIM claims)

  • Negligent security

  • Professional liability

  • Wrongful death claims

• Strong advocacy, negotiation, and legal writing skills

• Comfortable managing high-volume caseloads in a fast-paced setting

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Bar admission and good standing in New Jersey

• Additional State Bar admissions considered an advantage
