Senior Private Equity Finance Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks a Senior Private Equity Finance Associate Attorney to join its growing Private Equity Finance practice in New York. This role is ideal for attorneys with experience in private credit, acquisition finance, or leveraged finance, who are eager to work in a high-growth practice with a supportive and collaborative team.

Duties:

• Represent corporate borrowers, private equity sponsors, and portfolio companies in high-stakes finance transactions.
• Lead and manage mid-cap and top-tier transactions involving acquisition finance, private credit, and leveraged finance.
• Collaborate with a dynamic team to draft and negotiate complex legal documents, ensuring all transactions meet client objectives.
• Provide strategic legal advice on a variety of finance-related matters for private equity sponsors and corporate borrowers.
• Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive and privileged client information in accordance with firm policies.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in private credit, acquisition finance, or leveraged finance.
• Strong preference for candidates with borrower-side representation experience, particularly with private equity sponsors.
• Proven ability to handle high-volume and complex transactions.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in New York or eligible for admission.
