Job Overview

A distinguished law firm is seeking a mid to senior-level Project Finance Associate to join its Project & Energy group. This role focuses on energy transition financing, providing opportunities to work on high-profile, internationally recognized projects, including novel financing deals in the renewable energy sector. The position is available across multiple U.S. office locations and offers a dynamic environment to engage with major transactions in the energy transition space.

Location

Duties

  • Manage complex transactions involving the financing and M&A of energy transition projects.
  • Oversee tax equity and renewable energy tax credit monetization matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents for project finance and M&A transactions.
  • Provide strategic legal advice on energy transition financing matters to clients.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to execute high-value transactions.
  • Support and lead innovative energy financing projects across multiple locations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in energy transition finance matters.
  • Proven experience in tax equity and renewable energy tax credit transactions.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to influence clients and colleagues.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice law in the jurisdiction where the candidate is applying.
