Personal Injury Litigation Attorney

A law firm in Clayton, MO is seeking a dedicated and experienced Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will excel in managing personal injury cases from start to finish, ensuring clients receive the best possible care and results. The role involves client interaction, case preparation, trial representation, and collaboration with insurance companies. The candidate must demonstrate exceptional legal expertise, strong negotiation skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Duties:

• Meet with clients to discuss their cases, demonstrating compassion, empathy, and an ability to build trust and respect.
• Communicate regularly with clients and insurance companies regarding the status of claims, demands, and offers.
• Prepare cases for trial, including drafting legal documents, gathering evidence, and developing case strategies.
• Represent clients in court, handling trial preparation, presenting cases, and managing all aspects of trial proceedings.
• Evaluate claims and provide expert advice on case viability and potential outcomes.
• Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel to achieve favorable results for clients.
• Maintain accurate and thorough case documentation, including case summaries, correspondence, and legal filings.
• Collaborate with support staff and legal assistants to ensure efficient case management and preparation.
• Stay updated on legal developments and changes in personal injury law to provide informed and effective representation.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Member of the Missouri Bar and in good standing.
• 6+ years of litigation experience, with 5-10 personal injury trials as first chair required.
• Proven experience in evaluating personal injury claims and handling complex litigation.
• Exceptional negotiation skills with a track record of successful settlements and trial outcomes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively advocate for clients and interact with insurance companies.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to develop and implement effective case strategies.
• Team-oriented with experience in leading and collaborating with support staff.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active member of the Missouri Bar.
