Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview:

A San Diego, CA, law firm is seeking a skilled Litigation Associate Attorney to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will serve as national coordinating counsel in state and federal courts, handling complex litigation involving medical devices, pharmaceuticals, automobiles, industrial machinery, and construction equipment, among other products. This role requires a candidate with substantial litigation experience, including product liability and breach of warranty, and an entrepreneurial spirit to contribute to a growing practice area.

Duties:

• Serve as national coordinating counsel for litigation across state and federal courts.
• Handle cases involving various products, including medical devices, pharmaceuticals, automobiles, industrial machinery, and construction equipment.
• Draft and argue discovery and other motions.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Manage document productions.
• Oversee case management and lead strategic litigation efforts.
• Collaborate with multiple office locations to ensure cohesive handling of cases.
• Provide legal counsel and strategic guidance on complex litigation matters.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of meaningful experience in litigation, specifically in product liability and breach of warranty.
• Proven track record of working in a mid-size or large law firm setting.
• Exceptional oral and written advocacy skills.
• Strong academic credentials and a demonstrated ability to manage complex cases.
• Admission to and in good standing with the California Bar.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admitted to and in good standing with the California Bar.

Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in case management and litigation strategy.
• Strong drafting and argumentation skills for motions and legal documents.
