Daytona Beach office of our client seeks a business litigation attorney with 1-8 years of experience. The candidate will perform legal research on issues relevant to firm legal matters. Prepare pleadings and other papers for matters in litigation. Potentially assist with non-litigation business law matters for business clients. Argue motions and otherwise make court appearances. Try cases or provide support role in the trial of cases, both jury and non-jury. Assist with assessing prospective legal matters. Communicate with clients and others with respect to matters being handled. Otherwise, assist with the handling of firm legal matters. Must have litigation experience (does not need to be business litigation but business litigation is a plus). Must have a solid grasp of all aspects of civil litigation (Florida and federal litigation knowledge a plus). Must be Florida Bar licensed.

The candidate must have strong academic, research, writing, and oral communications skills. Must have the ability to handle challenging tasks independently. Must have ability to work with others inside and outside the firm in a pleasant, professional, and ethical manner. Must be proficient in the use of software of the sort commonly used in law firms. Must be proficient with computer use, including typing, and technology used in progressive law firms in the office and in court. Must be willing to generate, and maintain, client relationships.
