Litigation Of Counsel

Job Overview: A law firm in New York City seeks a highly experienced Litigation Of Counsel to join their team. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in product liability and complex commercial litigation, with a preference for those with exposure to the pharmaceutical and medical device industries.

Duties:

• Communicate effectively with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
• Supervise and mentor associates in litigation matters.
• Work collaboratively with experts in relevant fields.
• Assist in fact development and preparation for depositions.
• Review and draft discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda.
• Contribute to the development of case strategies.

Requirements:

• Minimum 8+ years of litigation experience, preferably at an AmLaw 100 firm.
• Specialization in product liability and complex commercial litigation.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and writing skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Good business judgment and organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in legal research and problem-solving.
• Conceptual thinking and ability to influence others persuasively.
• Prior management experience is desirable.

Education and Certifications:

• JD degree from an accredited law school.
• Strong academic credentials from nationally recognized institutions.
• Additional degrees such as MD, MPH, PharmD, or Epidemiology are beneficial.
• Admission to practice law in New York State is required.
