Associate Attorney Litigation

A law firm in Morristown, NJ, seeks a dedicated Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of experience to join its dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling complex disputes, particularly those involving business conflicts, fiduciary matters, and commercial litigation. Key Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in litigation proceedings, including depositions, motion practice, and trials.
• Conduct thorough legal research and draft persuasive memoranda, pleadings, and briefs.
• Develop case strategies and manage litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Engage in discovery, including drafting and responding to interrogatories, document requests, and conducting witness depositions.
• Advocate for clients in negotiations, mediations, and settlement discussions.
• Analyze legal risks and provide well-reasoned advice to clients on case strengths and potential outcomes.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff to ensure efficient case management.
• Stay up-to-date with evolving laws, regulations, and judicial opinions affecting commercial and fiduciary disputes.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in New Jersey.
• 3-6 years of litigation experience, preferably involving business, commercial, or fiduciary disputes.
• Strong courtroom presence and litigation skills, including motion practice and trial preparation.
• Exceptional legal research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
