Job Overview: A prestigious law firm is seeking a full-time Senior Family Law Attorney with extensive experience in family law matters, including divorce, child support, custody, and real estate issues. This remote position requires a high level of expertise in handling family law cases, mentoring junior attorneys, and providing exceptional client service. The ideal candidate will have significant trial experience, a deep knowledge of Washington State family law, and a passion for collaborative conflict resolution.

Location:

  • Seattle, WA 

Duties:

  • Advocate for clients in court, presenting motions during legal proceedings
  • Stay updated on local, state, and federal family law statutes
  • Conduct thorough legal research and prepare briefs, pleadings, and motions
  • Represent clients in trials, mediations, and arbitrations
  • Collaborate with clients to find amicable resolutions and agreements
  • Oversee and mentor junior attorneys, providing guidance on complex legal issues and court proceedings

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in family law
  • Strong trial, mediation, and arbitration experience
  • Expertise in Washington State family law
  • Active membership with the Washington State Bar
  • Exceptional persuasive writing and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple cases
  • Strong interpersonal skills for client consultations and mentoring junior team members

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Washington State

Skills:

  • Expertise in family law, including divorce, child support, and custody matters
  • Strong legal research, writing, and communication abilities
  • Proven ability to mentor and support junior attorneys
  • Proficiency in managing a caseload in a remote environment
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus, but not required
