San Francisco office of an AmLaw Firm seeks mid- to senior-level digital assets and data management associate attorney with 3-7 years of experience. The candidate will work with the regional, national, and multinational clients as a member of the DADM Groups Privacy Governance and Tech Transactions Team. Desired experiences include advising on: Proactive privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance (CCPA, GDPR, FCRA, GLBA, COPPA, HIPAA); product development and implementation; business process support for privacy and cybersecurity programs (website and mobile app audits, risk assessments, policies and procedures); legal implications of digital advertising and eCommerce applications; tech transactions, data processing agreements, and other substantive contract drafting and negotiation. Must have law firm or in-house privacy and cybersecurity experience, or litigation experience with a demonstrated interest in privacy and cybersecurity compliance work. Deep understanding of data privacy and security laws, self-regulatory regimes, and industry best practices are essential. Should have experience drafting and negotiating agreements and developing and implementing internal and external corporate policies.

The candidate should have exceptional project management skills. Must have effective and persuasive writing and oral communication skills. Should have ability to manage a fast-paced, complex workload while maintaining priorities and anticipating issues. Must have motivation to learn and understand technology and forensic investigations, to be able to both effectively interact with technically-skilled individuals and distill key issues and findings for non-technical business team members. The professional commitment and interpersonal skills necessary to succeed in a collaborative team environment.
