Bioinformatics Patent Agent

Boston office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a bioinformatics patent agent with 1-3 years of patent prosecution experience. The candidate will join the Intellectual Property department. Will work one-on-one with associates and partners, gain a depth of experience in a broad range of patent strategy, drafting, prosecution, and diligence matters, and get immediate client contact. Must have an advanced degree in bioinformatics, or significant bioinformatics research or industry experience in addition to an advanced degree in biology or computer science. Should have experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications with particular experience in patents for drug discovery, whole-genome association, gene finding, gene or protein function prediction, protein interaction networks, or bioinformatics more generally. Must be eligible to take the USPTO registration exam.
