Location:

Duties:

  • Advise clients on their legal rights and draft relevant legal documents
  • Attend pretrial hearings and provide clients with post-hearing legal strategies
  • Handle court appearances, trials, drafting motions, witness interviews, and conducting legal research
  • Analyze case outcomes using legal precedents
  • Manage a workload of criminal defense cases efficiently
  • Provide clients with legal analysis to determine potential case benefits
  • Gather additional evidence to support client cases or counter prosecution arguments
  • Prepare clients for depositions, determine key case strategies, and gather testimony from witnesses and experts

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in Criminal Defense Law
  • Experience handling complex criminal cases at federal, state, and local levels
  • Strong team player with the ability to collaborate with fellow attorneys
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and writing skills
  • Ability to effectively manage a caseload and meet deadlines
  • Analytical skills for case strategy development
  • Strong courtroom presence and trial advocacy
