Trademark Associate Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm based in Washington, DC, seeks a dedicated and experienced Trademark Associate Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have a solid trademark law background with a minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience. Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive trademark searches and analyses.
• Develop and implement global trademark strategies for clients.
• Handle domestic and international trademark prosecution and enforcement.
• Manage TTAB (Trademark Trial and Appeal Board) proceedings.
• Oversee online and social media enforcement of trademarks.
• Handle UDRP (Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy) proceedings.
• Draft and review trademark applications, responses, and related documentation.
• Advise clients on trademark-related issues, including registration, protection, and enforcement.
• Collaborate with clients and other legal professionals to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trademark law and industry trends.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in trademark law.
• Demonstrated expertise in trademark searching, global trademark strategy, and prosecution.
• Experience with TTAB proceedings, online and social media enforcement, and UDRP proceedings is advantageous.
• Superior writing and communication skills are required.
• Foreign language skills are highly valued.

Education and Certifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Bar in Washington, DC, or eligibility to become admitted.
• Additional certifications in trademark law are a plus.
