Wilmington office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks chemistry technology specialist with 2-4 years of patent prosecution experience. The candidate will play an integral part of the Intellectual Property practice, and work on cutting-edge technologies with top-tier clients from day one. Will draft patent applications for innovative clients, including descriptions and figures. Correspond with patent office about pending patent applications. Advise patent litigation teams based on own technical and scientific area of expertise. Interview inventors about new ideas. Must have an advanced degree in chemistry or closely related field (preferably a PhD) and small molecule experience. Must preferably be registered before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
The candidate should have superior writing skills and excellent academic credentials.
The Mid-Atlantic office of this national firm practices exclusively in the areas of intellectual property, complex litigation, and technology law. The firm's intellectual property practice, in particular, is exceptionally solid and the complex litigation practice is rapidly expanding. The firm represents clients in all fields of emerging technology, including biotechnology, optics, the Internet, and computer hardware and software. The work atmosphere is extremely friendly, collegial, and informal. The billable hours goal is extremely low (1900 hours), and associates who make partner typically bill around 1950 hours per year.
