Washington, D.C. office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks pharmaceutical technology specialist agent with experience. The candidate will review technical disclosures and participate in client interviews to understand new inventions. Will search the literature and patent databases to determine the patentability of inventions. Draft written assessments of the prospects of obtaining patent protection. Write patent applications. Prepare responses to communications from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Develop arguments for patentability to Patent Office Examiners. Review patents as part of the IP due diligence for a potential acquisition or merger. Must have an advanced degree in Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field of study. Should have a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry or a related field to join the Pharmaceutical group.

The candidate should have strong written and verbal communication skills. Must have the ability to collaborate and work effectively in team settings. Should have sound judgment, maturity, and inquisitive nature. Interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively with business leaders, attorneys, scientists, engineers, inventors, and patent examiners. A strong work ethic paired with the ability to juggle multiple job responsibilities essential.
