London office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a corporate and finance (M&A) senior associate attorney with 4-6years post qualification experience (or equivalent experience). Must have experience in public M&A and equity capital markets and/or working with clients in the insurance sector OR 3 to 7 years of experience in insurance M&A, Part VIIs, and reinsurance and insurance regulatory issues. Experience gained within a top-tier firm is preferred. The candidate understands legal principles of own practice area, along with a working knowledge of other practice areas. Handles project management responsibility, able to motivate and coordinate a cross-practice, cross-region team, ensuring timely delivery to high-quality standards. Stays aware of legal developments affecting any specialist areas and regularly attends appropriate training sessions. Actively works to develop and strengthen new client relationships and generate new business from existing and new clients. Acts as a source of advice to others, sharing knowledge and expertise. Understands the industry and market in which the practice stream and clients operate. Contributes to the management of the group/practice area by understanding the areas of specialism, the firm's capabilities, and business plan. Takes an active role in managing the firm's reputation both in and out of work. Understands the responsibility to give back to our communities. Understands the value of a diverse workforce.

The candidate must have a strong academic background (minimum 2.1 degrees). Must have outstanding technical skills, with excellent written and oral communication and drafting skills, and strong experience of being able to lead workstreams and documentation him/herself, together with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues and work well in a team. Must have good working relationships with clients along with a good understanding of clients, the sector, and the associated risks and opportunities. Strong relationships and profiles amongst peers and senior colleagues are required. The ability to work effectively with others at all levels within the organization.
