New York City office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks patent prosecution associate attorney with 2+ years of experience in one or more of the following technologies: machine learning, artificial intelligence, blockchain, computer vision, and computer networks. The candidate will assess scientific literature, patents and patent application documents. Understand, critique and provide insightful opinion on scientific data. Will assist with patent landscapes and freedom to operate analysis in various high technology areas. Draft written assessments of the prospects of obtaining patent protection; draft patent applications; Draft responses to communications from the United States Patent and Trademark Office and other patent offices; and collaborate with colleagues on various projects including assessing patents for corporate due diligence and conducting underlying analysis for opinions and litigations. Handle a variety of patent projects, including patent drafting, prosecution, reexaminations, opinions, litigation support and due diligence. Should have a strong background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and/or Electrical Engineering. Must have an LL.M. degree from an ABA accredited law school. Should be admitted to or eligible for admission to the Bar. USPTO admission is preferred.

The candidate should be graduated with a JD degree. Must have excellent written/verbal communication skills, demonstrated scientific writing ability. Should have a high level of professionalism and ability to communicate scientific concepts effectively to clients, attorneys, scientists and engineers. Must be able to balance and prioritize multiple competing priorities and responsibilities, be highly organized and exercise extreme attention to detail. Should be able to collaborate and work effectively in team settings.
