The attorney will manage client cases, attend court hearings, and collaborate with senior attorneys and paralegals to ensure the best outcomes for clients.

Location:

  • Wilmington, North Carolina

Duties:

  • Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings
  • Communicate with senior partners and paralegals to ensure smooth progress in civil litigation cases
  • Analyze client needs, strategize legal solutions, and determine appropriate courses of action
  • Represent clients in court proceedings for family law matters such as divorce, alimony, and child custody
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date client files

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of experience in family law is preferred
  • Prior experience or studies in criminal justice are a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • At least 1-2 years of experience working on family law issues within a law firm, including real estate and marital property determinations
  • Member in good standing with the American Bar Association (ABA)
  • Strong knowledge of representing both plaintiffs and defendants in family law cases

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in North Carolina
  • Active membership in the American Bar Association (ABA)
