Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Lateral/Experienced Associate to join their Casualty and Mass Tort Litigation Practice Group in Baton Rouge, LA. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of general litigation experience and a strong background in depositions, motion writing, and discovery responses.

Duties

  • Collaborate with partners on all phases of litigation, including investigations, case reporting, and trial preparation.
  • Independently manage a caseload from inception to resolution.
  • Regularly handle court appearances and depositions.
  • Lead client communications and provide meaningful updates.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of general litigation experience.
  • Extensive experience in depositions, writing motions, and discovery.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Strong research, writing, communication, and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to interact directly with clients and develop relationships.
  • Must be in good standing with the LA State Bar.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Louisiana.
