London office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a corporate and commercial litigation associate attorney with 2-4 years of post-qualification experience (or equivalent experience). The candidate will have an understanding of the legal principles of their own practice area, along with a working knowledge of other practice areas. Will have project management responsibility, ensuring timely delivery to high-quality standards. Stays aware of legal developments affecting any specialist areas and regularly attends appropriate training sessions. Builds good working relationships with clients. Has responsibility for actively managing client projects to ensure profitability, quality, and strong client relationships. Actively works to develop and strengthen new client relationships. Acts as a source of advice to others, sharing knowledge and expertise. Has the ability to manage, develop and lead more junior members of a team. Is able to work effectively with others. Understands the market in which the practice and clients operate. Contributes to the management of the group/practice area by understanding the areas of specialism, the firms capabilities, and business plans. Takes an active role in managing the firm's reputation both in and out of work. Understands the responsibility to give back to communities. Understands the value of a diverse workforce. Must have experience in complex commercial, corporate, and/or financial services disputes. Experience in company law issues and/or shareholder/JV disputes, or in disputes arising in an insolvency or restructuring context would be welcome. Experience gained within a top-tier firm is preferred.
The candidate should have outstanding technical skills, together with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues and work well in a team. Must be proactive, forensic, and enquiring in their approach to analyzing issues in cases and have a real desire to challenge themselves and take on responsibility. Should have a strong academic background (minimum 2.1 degrees) with excellent written communication and drafting skills.
