Fort Lauderdale office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a senior immigration attorney with 4+ years of experience (excluding any clerkships/internship/pro-bono work) in business/corporate immigration. The candidate will be responsible for direct client contact, leading and managing paralegals, preparing and filing non-immigrant and immigrant visa petitions. Must have 3+ years of experience with all stages of EB cases (PERM, I-140, and I-485) and be able to identify potential issues arising in EB-2 and EB-3 cases. Must also have 3+ years of experience with petitioning for H-1B, L-1, E-3, E-2, O-1, and TN visas, including experience with responding to complicated RFEs. Work experience should preferably include immigrant cases and advisory work with corporate clients. Any experience with EB-1 cases is highly preferred. Must have a strong understanding of the PERM labor certification process and nuances of employment-based green card cases. Must be admitted to a US State Bar. Preference will be given to those with foreign language proficiency.
The candidate must have a J.D. or LL.M. degree from a US law school. Should preferably have excellent legal research and writing skills to spend up to 25% of time creating and reviewing the legal content for the website and blog. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision is required. Excellent corporate client interaction skills and the ability to work effectively with other attorneys and staff are needed. Must be organized, detail-oriented, responsive, and have excellent follow-through skills. The ability to stay current with applicable changes in immigration law and policies is essential. A positive attitude and client service disposition are a must.
