A law firm in Austin, TX, is seeking an experienced Plaintiff Trial Attorney with significant first chair plaintiff personal injury trial experience. This role involves handling complex personal injury cases, conducting extensive depositions, and representing clients in court. Duties:

  • Represent plaintiffs in personal injury cases, taking on significant first chair trial responsibilities
  • Conduct extensive depositions, including those of corporate defendants, liability and damage experts, and medical experts
  • Prepare and present cases in court, including opening statements, witness examinations, and closing arguments
  • Develop case strategies and manage case preparation from inception through trial
  • Engage in settlement negotiations and mediations to achieve favorable outcomes for clients
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies
  • Communicate effectively with clients, keeping them informed about case progress and developments
  • Collaborate with legal team members to ensure comprehensive case preparation
  • Maintain detailed and organized case files and documentation

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas
  • Significant first chair plaintiff personal injury trial experience
  • Extensive deposition experience, including corporate defendants, liability and damage experts, and medical experts
  • Proven track record of successful trial outcomes
  • Strong litigation and trial advocacy skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

 

Certifications:

Active license to practice law in the State of Texas
