Plano office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a consumer finance associate attorney with 3-5 years of experience. The candidate will prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings. Will conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior associate attorneys. Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients. Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently. Maintain client files in an organized fashion to ensure up-to-date information is handy for other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff. Must have a working knowledge of the following: Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA); CFPBs Amendments to Reg F; Debt collection practices in federal and Texas courts; Writs of Sequestration; Defending creditors in consumer bankruptcy; Tenant Estoppels; Home Equity Mortgages and Home Equity Lines of Credit; Business Lending for financial institutions; Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA); Consumer law, Telephone Consumer Practices Act (TCPA). Should be Licensed in Texas.

The candidate should have a J.D. from an accredited law school. Excellent work ethic essential. Must have strong interpersonal skills. Must be a self-starter and be able to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment. Should have strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication needed.
