Real Estate Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks a litigation associate in Cleveland, OH, to support its real property practice. The role involves managing the enforcement of property restrictions, contract disputes, construction-defect claims, and related matters, with significant client interaction and courtroom appearances.

Duties

• Independently handle litigation matters from pleadings through trial and appeal.

• Draft complaints, answers, motions, and discovery requests and responses.

• Prepare witnesses and conduct and defend depositions.

• Represent clients at hearings, mediations, and trial proceedings.

• Advise clients on case status and legal strategy throughout the litigation lifecycle.

Requirements

• Admission to the Ohio Bar in good standing.

• Minimum of five years’ experience in real estate, corporate, contract, or governmental litigation.

• Proven ability to manage a varied caseload and supervise support staff.

• Availability for client meetings during business hours, some evenings, and weekends.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and litigation management software.

Education

• Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Member, State Bar of Ohio.
