Associate Attorney with 1-3 years of civil litigation experience

Los Angeles office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks associate attorney with 1-3 years of civil litigation experience. The candidate will work on all aspects of litigation. Will learn and develop litigation skills from conducting discovery, deposing witnesses and experts, preparing witnesses for testimony, inspecting vehicles, gathering evidence, appearing and arguing in state and federal court at hearings, and assisting with mediation and trials. Represent consumers throughout California against large auto manufactures (Ford Motor Company, Chrysler, BMW, Mercedes Benz, Honda, Toyota, etc.). Taking and defending depositions (including those of Plaintiff, Person Most Knowledgeable, dealership personnel, and experts, witnesses, etc.). Research and drafting of Motions and Oppositions to various motion types, including Motions for Summary Judgment, Demurrers, Motions to Compel Arbitration, as well as Discovery-related Motions. Trial Preparation, including Motions in Limine and Special Verdict Forms, Jury Instructions, and any other related tasks to support the firm in preparation for Trial. Propounding discovery and responding to discovery. Should be licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.

The candidate should have attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Must have strong time management skills, including prioritization of cases and adhering to deadlines, internal or those imposed by the Court. Strong organizational, time management, and skills in handling the caseloads required of the position needed. Should have ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment with other lawyers and paralegals.
