Electrical/Software Patent Prosecution Associate

Alexandria office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks an Electrical/Software Patent Prosecution Associate with preferably 2+ years of patent prosecution experience. The candidate will serve in the analysis and preparation of replies to office actions and amendments, invention and disclosure meetings/calls with clients, preparation of new patent applications, preparation, and prosecution of design applications, the study of patents and prosecution history files in support of opinions of non-infringement or invalidity, technology licensing agreements and related transactions and support of litigation, administrative reviews, petitions, and appeals. Must be licensed to practice in a State Bar and preferably before the USPTO.

The candidate must possess a J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school. Must have a demonstrated track record of academic achievement and superior writing and interpersonal skills. Must have a technical background in the area(s) including electrical engineering; systems engineering; software engineering, computer science, electronics, engineering technology, and/or physics.
