Construction Defense Litigation Associate Attorney

New York City office of our client seeks an associate attorney with 5-8 years of experience. The candidate will serve in the caseload of construction defense litigation. Will handle all aspects of the litigation process under the direction of a partner; prepare / handle pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, legal research and court appearances and review, assess and handle matters from inception to trial. Must have substantial litigation defense with an emphasis on construction defense litigation. Knowledge of New York labor law essential. Should have taken and defended depositions of parties and experts. Experience drafting and responding to written discovery and dispositive motions needed. Computer proficiency including MS Office including Excel, Outlook, and proficient skills navigating the Internet essential. Must be licensed to practice law in New York.

The candidate must have the ability to work proactively, independently and demonstrate strong analytical, writing, research, and communication skills and an eagerness to learn.
