Municipal / Employment Litigation Associate Attorney

Sewickley office of our client seeks a municipal/employment litigation associate attorney with 7+ years of experience with municipal law. The candidate will perform functions as assigned by the partners and senior attorneys. These tasks involve legal research, drafting, organization of exhibits and other documents, attendance at County and Township/Borough meetings, arbitrations, and other Court hearings. Will handle assignments as directed by attorneys within the firm involving legal research, drafting, organization of exhibits and other documents, attendance at depositions and hearings within local magistrate, state and federal courts, and the filing of documents with Court within both the State and Federal (PACER) systems. Manage multiple assignments and deadlines on a daily/weekly/long-term basis. Appropriately record time for billable activities to be included on invoices to clients of the firm. Take messages for attorneys or staff as appropriate. Interact with clients of the firm. Perform other related duties as assigned or required. Experience within a law firm setting is required. Must be admitted to practice law within the Commonwealth of PA and be in good standing.

The candidate must have a Law degree. Should be able to proficiently use computers, including MS Office Suite, for correspondence, research, reports, and email communication. Limited travel may be necessary for filing in state courts or retrieving documents. Should be proficient in MS Office. Verbal and written communication skills are required. Negotiation and interpersonal skills are needed.
