Lateral Trademark and Copyright Associate Attorney

Dallas office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks lateral trademark and copyright associate attorney with 1-2 years of experience in trademark law in a private law firm and must be admitted to, and in good standing with, the Texas Bar. The candidate will be performing a variety of tasks under the direct supervision of a partner or more senior associate; seeking to understand, and become engaged in, each project and its related elements as fully as possible. Will be communicating to supervisors fully, and in a timely manner, status of task completion and new developments that may impact the project or case. Applying the basic skills of legal research, writing and analysis with efficiency and high quality. Accepting responsibility for successful and timely completion of assigned tasks. Completing work accurately and professionally. Meeting expected levels of industry and commitment to firm. Participating fully in professional development programs hosted by the firm. Keeping current on legal developments through self-study and reading. Becoming proficient in the basic technology systems on which the associate will receive training. Attaining proficiency with practice-specific technology applications. Engaging in practice development activities: assist with articles, speeches and presentations; participate in networking opportunities; build relationships within and outside. Trademark clearance, prosecution, and enforcement; drafting and negotiating licenses, coexistence agreements, and settlement agreements. Working independently on assigned legal matters. Collaboration with colleagues throughout the firm. Should preferably have experience working on sizable trademark portfolios with oversight of a Partner or senior associate. Exceptional skills in communication, interpersonal interactions, legal writing, and conflict resolution essential.
