Intake Attorney with experience in Criminal Defense

Job Overview: A well-established law firm in Phoenix, Arizona is seeking an Intake Attorney with experience in Criminal Defense. Reporting to the Supervising Intake Attorney, the role involves reviewing potential criminal cases and providing legal guidance to clients.

Location:

• Phoenix, Arizona

Duties:

• Monitor case management software for live cases to vet
• Review intake sheets and documents from potential clients
• Identify and assess potential criminal cases
• Recommend legal strategies and services for potential clients
• Communicate with existing clients regarding potential services beyond current contracts
• Answer legal questions and explain legal processes to both potential and existing clients
• Collaborate with the sales team, providing feedback on potential clients
• Oversee intake paralegals and virtual assistants

Requirements:

• 1-5 years of Criminal Defense Law experience
• Strong team player with the ability to collaborate and strategize with associates
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Proven track record of managing a caseload and advancing legal cases
• Experience in criminal defense, intake, or post-conviction relief
• Familiarity with Case Management Software is preferred

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Arizona

Skills:
