Job Overview: The Non-profit Attorney will play a pivotal role in providing legal counsel to tax-exempt organizations and philanthropists, offering practical and strategic guidance on nonprofit corporate, tax, and trust law matters.

Duties:

  • Provide comprehensive legal counsel to tax-exempt organizations and philanthropists, addressing their non-profit corporate, tax, and trust law needs.
  • Develop and implement practical and strategic solutions tailored to each client's unique requirements.
  • Conduct legal research, analysis, and due diligence to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and laws.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and tax filings.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, meetings, and before regulatory agencies or in court if necessary.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, offering one-on-one support and guidance.
  • Stay updated on changes in non-profit, tax, and trust law to provide informed advice.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of legal experience in non-profit corporate, tax, and/or trust law.
  • Strong ability to think practically and strategically when addressing client needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the relevant state bar association.
