Los Angeles office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a real estate staff attorney with 3+ years of experience in a law firm. The candidate will work on a broad range of interesting, complex, and often high-profile real estate transactions with a diverse clientele of institutional, private, and public entities. May work closely with clients, firm attorneys, other staff attorneys, legal specialists, paralegals, and vendors to service the matters and projects to which assigned. Assist in project management of commercial real estate transactions including managing document checklists and coordinating correspondence among all the parties involved (e.g., escrow agents, title agents, seller, buyer, lender teams, borrower teams, etc.). Perform title and survey review, commercial and RE diligence (including lease, vendor agreements, property management agreements, and other real estate related contracts). Draft and negotiate purchase and sale documents, loan documents, leases, corporate resolutions, legal opinions, estoppels, SNDAs, operating agreements, construction and architect agreements, property management agreements, escrow instructions, and other closing documents. Assist sophisticated joint ventures with acquisition and financing. Assist in advice to artists, museums, and other arts and culture institutions in complex corporate and RE transactions. Assist matter team with land use transactional practice, including California Environmental Quality Act compliance and obtaining entitlements from local planning agencies. Perform legal research related to specific issues arising in all types of real estate, land use, and environmental transactions. Collaborate and assist with the formation of various business entities ‎necessary to acquire and develop real property. Must be admitted to the CA Bar, active, and in good standing.

The candidate must have a J.D. degree from a major, accredited law school. The ability to communicate professionally and effectively both within and outside of the organization is required. The ability to appropriately plan, organize, and work effectively to articulate matter (project) goals, objectives, deliverables, costs, and deadlines is essential. Should be able to identify tasks, resources, and schedules needed to achieve objectives. Must be able to work with minimal supervision, initiate communications, and engage and coordinate with others whose focused attention is essential to complete projects.
