Washington D.C. office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks an asset management associate attorney preferably with 2-7 years of legal experience with private funds work. The candidate will represent fund sponsors in connection with drafting and negotiating documents in connection with the formation of investment funds and compliance matters. Will advise on corporate governance matters such as structuring, operations of the client's funds and management companies, succession planning, carried interest arrangements, employee investment programs, marketing arrangements and limited partner transfers. May also represent institutional investors in connection with primary and secondary investments in private funds. Should preferably have 2-5 years of legal experience working on private investment funds, including spending a substantial amount of such period at a law firm. Must have proven abilities to draft and negotiate documents in connection with the formation of private investment funds. Experience in the following areas is a plus: (1) advising fund sponsors on compliance and regulatory issues; (2) assisting fund sponsors or investors in secondary transactions; and (3) being familiar with a wide range of alternative investment strategies.

The candidate must have a J.D. degree from an accredited law school or equivalent. Should also have excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and client service skills, and the ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment. Flexibility to work independently and as part of a team will also be important.
