Of Counsel Family Law Attorney

Virginia Beach office of our client seeks of counsel family law attorney with 2+ years of experience. The candidate will serve in contested and uncontested divorces on a fault or no-fault basis; spousal support; child custody, visitation, and support; separation agreements; equitable distribution of property; retirement, pensions, and profit sharing; business valuation and division; personal and real property division; marital agreements; post-divorce issues; adoption; and DCSE (Division of Child Support Enforcement) actions. Will provide client representation for a full array of family law issues. Successfully counsel and represent the interests of clients in mediation and in trial. Provide effective and practical advice to clients to assist them in promoting their best interests. Deliver thorough factual and legal research and analysis in pleadings, memoranda, and other written documents. Manage matters from commencement to final resolution. Competently and professionally develop and maintain a client base. Admission to the Virginia Bar is required. Must be and remain licensed to practice law and in good standing in the State of Virginia.

The candidate should have a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association with an outstanding academic record. Must have ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, other firm attorneys, support staff, and outside professionals. Excellent writing, research and analytical skills essential. Strong organizational and matter management skills and exceptional communication, interpersonal and listening skills are needed.
