Financial Services Counsel

Austin office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks financial services counsel with 2+ years of experience in financial services litigation. The candidate will provide effective and reliable legal services to clients and supervising attorneys. Will provide thorough factual and legal research and analysis in pleadings, memoranda, and other written documents. Draft pleadings and other case documents. Attend hearings throughout Texas. Manage matters from commencement to final resolution; and competently and professionally communicate with clients and supervising attorneys. Should have knowledge of federal and state court practice, experience preparing answers, motions, and discovery. Significant case management experience essential. Hearing experience a plus. Familiarity with and ability to prepare basic litigation documents essential. Must have familiarity with federal and state court procedural rules and practices. Must be and remain licensed to practice law and in good standing in Texas.

The candidate should have strong writing and oral communication skills, and an ability to learn new substantive legal topics as needed. Must have ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet deadlines. Should have strong organization and matter management skills. Must have ability to work professionally and effectively with Clients, Partners, Associates and Support Staff. Should have ability to work effectively with others as part of a team. Clear and effective drafting skills; and strong negotiating skills needed. Should have Juris Doctor degree.
