This full-time position offers a remote or hybrid work environment with no residency requirement in California, provided the candidate holds an active California Bar license. Location:

Duties:

  • Handle all aspects of workers' compensation defense litigation

  • Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and briefs

  • Conduct discovery, depositions, and legal research

  • Attend hearings, conferences, and trials

  • Utilize paperless systems for case and document management

  • Maintain clear and proactive communication with clients and team members

  • Collaborate with internal legal staff and external stakeholders

Requirements:

  • 1 year of workers' compensation defense experience (preferred)

  • Familiarity with the Defense Base Act and Longshore & Harbor Workers' Compensation Act (a plus)

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities

  • Analytical and research proficiency

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Comfort working in a fully digital environment

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active Member in Good Standing with the State Bar of California
