Duties

  • Handle a full caseload of Illinois Workers' Compensation cases from start to finish.
  • Represent clients in arbitration hearings, pre-trials, and settlement negotiations.
  • Draft motions, responses, and other litigation documents.
  • Manage client communications, guiding them through the process and legal options.
  • Collaborate with experts, physicians, and internal teams to strengthen case strategy.
  • Monitor deadlines, filings, and procedural compliance.
  • Provide guidance to junior attorneys or legal assistants as needed.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) and respective state bar membership required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience handling workers' compensation claims.
  • Strong client-facing experience; ability to communicate clearly with clients is essential.
  • Case management skills, including managing and prioritizing multiple clients, projects, and deadlines.
  • Preferential consideration for deposition, hearing, and mediation experience.
  • Superior organization skills with great follow-through.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize appropriately.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Deadline and detail-oriented.

Education
