Associate Attorney needed for Chicago office

Job Overview: A law firm in Chicago, IL, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Attorney to join their team. Duties:

• Take and defend depositions.
• Draft various legal documents including pleadings, motions, and written discovery.
• Perform high-level legal research and writing.
• Attend court proceedings remotely or in person.
• Review and analyze insurance policies for coverage.
• Draft insurance coverage opinions.
• Execute strategies in line with pre-determined plans.
• Operate independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Manage cases from inception through to completion.
• Assist with all aspects of complex litigation cases and prepare cases for trial.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of litigation and insurance coverage experience.
• Licensed to practice law in Illinois.
• Strong writing and analytical skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Illinois State Bar.
