Mid-level Consumer Products Litigation and Regulatory Associate Attorney

Newport Beach office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks mid-level consumer products litigation and regulatory associate attorney with 2-5 years of legal experience. The candidate will work collaboratively with the partners on litigation and regulatory matters involving the US Consumer Safety Commission (CPSC), the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and state and federal consumer product safety laws. Will have affirmative regulatory reporting and responding to regulatory investigations. Counseling clients on compliance with consumer product safety statues, regulations and standards. Advertising claims substantiation review. Drafting and preparing briefs, pleadings, motions and other document. Conducting legal research, working on all aspects of pretrial to trial. Supporting the team on business development and other litigation and regulatory related matters as needed. Regulatory expertise involving the US Consumer Product Safety Commission and the Federal Trade Commission is strongly preferred. Experience with multi-jurisdictional litigation, class actions and product liability cases are strongly preferred. Strong litigation skills, such as serving as the case management lead, taking depositions, or demonstration of superb oratory skills are required; significant deposition and court experience is preferred. Experience involving the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and/or Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is considered favorably. Must be admitted to the District of Columbia Bar, in good standing, or immediately eligible to waive-in.

The candidate should effectively communicate research into meaningful written work product. Possesses exceptional writing and analytical skills. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and is able to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues. Should have sound judgment and possesses keen attention to detail.
