Madison office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks insurance defense attorney with 3-5 years of experience in litigation. The candidate will analyze complex legal factual issues while conducting extensive and well-reasoned legal research. Will independently develop and aggressively present defense strategies on behalf of clients for auto and general liability cases from inception through trial. Prepare pleadings, written discovery, motions, and briefs in support of defense strategies. Provide effective and timely information, legal advice, and other services. Communicate with the court, witnesses, opposing counsel, and co-counsel with professional diplomacy and discretion. Participate in claims file reviews. Independently conduct trials, depositions, arbitration, and meditations. Handle cases throughout all stages of litigation and trial prep. Should have the following prior experience: Consistent reporting to insurance carriers; timely billable time entries; reviewing, responding and propounding discovery; taking and defending depositions; interfacing with clients and opposing counsel; and attendance at hearings, mediations and settlement conferences. Must be licensed to practice law in the state of Wisconsin. Must be able to work on litigated cases in state, federal and appeal courts. Technological proficiency, especially with emails, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and online communication tools essential.

The candidate should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Should have exceptional people skills, professionalism, and judgment. Ability to work as a team, as well as independently needed. Should have ability to organize and set priorities among multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and function calmly under pressure.
