Washington, D.C. office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks ICM - regulatory associate attorney with 2-4 years of law firm, government agency, or similar experience advising on the US securities, banking, and/or commodities and derivatives laws. The candidate will work closely with litigation and enforcement, capital markets, and corporate practice groups, providing regulatory advice and due diligence for a wide variety of investigations, cases, and transactions. Will have regular interaction with Partner, Senior Counsel, and Associate members of the FSR team, but also contact with all levels of staff within the group and other practice groups across the firm. Researching, drafting, and/or reviewing advisory memoranda; regulatory due diligence reports; transaction documents; licensing and other regulatory applications; brokerage, clearing, and custody agreements; and a variety of other complex documents. Becoming an expert in certain respects of US regulatory law. Strategically advising clients in meetings, by phone, and in writing. Contributing regulatory advice and due diligence in a wide range of financial services litigation and investigations matters and capital markets and corporate transactions. Business development - development of personal business plan, assistance with and implementation of business development campaigns. Managing client expectations and project delivery appropriately. Report directly to the US FSR partners and work closely with other associates and staff on the team. Should have DC or New York Bar admission. Strong technical knowledge of the legal frameworks comprising the US financial services regulatory system essential. Sound experience in operating at associate level within a complex international organization needed. Experience with and knowledge of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 essential.

The candidate should have excellent written and oral communication and analytical and critical thinking skills. Should possess attention to detail, a high level of organization, strong interpersonal skills, and an ability to manage multiple projects and people.
