Edinburgh office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm is seeking associates to join the Corporate and Commercial Group. The candidate will be providing professional support to the Corporate unit of the Corporate and Commercial practice areas with a strong focus on document automation, styles and precedents. Will be supporting the drafting and implementation of new styles/standard corporate documents, including automated documents using PLC's Contract Express. Project managing and leading the full implementation of Contract Express across the practice area. Reviewing and updating existing styles/standard corporate documents (including those automated using Contract Express). Collating and co-ordinating styles/standard corporate documents, monitoring updates on styles/standard documents and new negotiation points. Providing support to lawyers on the use of styles/standard corporate documents. Monitoring legislative change and case law in respect of material issues associated with corporate matters and how those might impact on our style/standard corporate documents. Providing ad hoc briefings to Corporate and, where required, wider practice areas, in an appropriate format on matters of interest relating to our style/standard corporate documents. Developing client updates on corporate related matters in the appropriate style on matters of interest where knowledge has been acquired through work on our style/standard corporate documents. Participating in our firm-wide knowledge management and training group and collaborating, where appropriate, with other PDLs and senior team members from other practice areas. Participating in knowledge-sharing meetings with PDLs and knowledge managers from other firms and organisations. Working with and supporting Corporate team members on their business and practice development efforts in relation to the styles/standard corporate documents including preparation of relevant collateral/materials. Participating in the Corporate PR team and developing ideas for/writing online content to promote the Corporate team. Identifying opportunities to improve process and ways of working to deliver increased efficiencies and improved client service delivery. Providing practical support in relation to the styles/standard corporate documents to junior lawyers and trainees as they carry out client work. Experience of the usual suite of corporate styles, precedents and transaction documents is needed.

The candidate should have strong drafting skills and works in a logical manner. Must have excellent attention to detail with ability to communicate clearly and confidently. Ability to develop strong and trusted working relationships at all levels is needed. Strong research skills are essential. Able to adapt style of communication appropriately to audience is needed. Works effectively in a team.
