Patent Associate Attorney

New York City office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a patent associate attorney with 3+ years of patent prosecution experience and a technology background in computer science, computer engineering, and/or electrical engineering. The candidate will review invention disclosure documents and conduct invention disclosure meetings. Will conduct prior searches, review references, and analyze patentability. Draft patent applications and manage US and foreign dockets. Review USPTO office actions, formulate response strategies, conduct examiner interviews, and draft and filing responses. Analyze patents in connection with due diligence and/or freedom to operate analyses. Should have experience in one or more of the following technologies: machine learning, artificial intelligence, and image and signal processing. Prior work experience in a law firm is strongly preferred. Must be admitted to or eligible for admission to the California, MA, DC, or NY Bars. USPTO admission is preferred.

The candidate should have a J.D. or LL.M. degree from an ABA-accredited law school. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Should have a high level of professionalism in working and engaging with demanding clients.
