Job Overview:

A law firm located in Centennial, CO, is seeking a dedicated Immigration Legal Associate to handle complex filings related to Requests for Evidence (RFEs), Notices of Intent to Deny (NOIDs), and Notices of Intent to Revoke (NOIRs), primarily focused on family- and humanitarian-based immigration matters. This position involves mentoring staff, collaborating across departments, and playing a key role in ensuring quality and compliance in client submissions.

Duties:

  • Draft and review legal responses to immigration agency inquiries, including RFEs, NOIDs, and NOIRs.

  • Support and guide non-attorney legal team members with escalated questions and complex issues.

  • Monitor regulatory trends to align submissions with current legal standards and practices.

  • Evaluate and enhance draft submissions from staff attorneys and case assistants.

  • Lead training initiatives for new hires and existing team members engaged in document preparation.

  • When necessary, provide direct legal consultation to clients to resolve concerns or clarify procedures.

  • Perform periodic audits to ensure consistency and accuracy in case handling.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet team objectives and improve process efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Licensed and in good standing with a U.S. state bar.

  • Minimum of 3 years of legal practice in humanitarian and family immigration matters, such as VAWA, U Visas, T Visas, Medical Discretionary Actions, and family petitions.

  • Experience preparing responses to USCIS-issued RFEs and related notices.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited institution.

Certifications:

  • Active law license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

Skills:

  • Deep understanding of family-based and humanitarian immigration frameworks.

  • Ability to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish is preferred.
