Rensselaer office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a corporate and transactional associate attorney with 2 years of experience with sophisticated corporate and/or commercial real estate transactions. The candidate will be advising clients on a wide range of corporate, real estate and finance law matters. Drafting/negotiating corporate formation and merger and acquisition contracts, as well as real estate purchase and sale agreements, leases and related documentation. Managing transactions and performing legal and due diligence. Managing client relationships. Actively participating in business development activities and client events. Training/managing junior team members and paralegals. Must have experience working directly with clients and managing substantial components of a broad range of corporate and transactional matters, including corporate transactional practice private and closely held business interests, sole proprietors, family business interests, associations, not-for-profit and tax-exempt entities. Must have an admission to the New York State Bar.

The candidate must have exposure to or an interest in the business. Work includes contracts, mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, corporate and partnership formations, corporate governance and compliance and commercial and industrial real estate transactions. Must have outstanding academic credentials. Must possess excellent analytical and communication skills. Comparable law firm experience is preferred. Must be ambitious and highly motivated lawyers with first-rate technical and commercial abilities driven to do high-quality work. Must be creative, curious and rigorous, have excellent communication skills and are able to take on a high degree of responsibility.
