Associate Attorney

Phoenix office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks an associate attorney with solid litigation skills and experience. The candidate will independently perform case tasks for supervising attorneys. Proficiently use word-processing software (Word) and legal research software. Proactively track and meet due dates and deadlines, and follow up on pending matters. Conduct witness interviews. Analyze and summarize discovery documents and depositions. Plan for and take depositions, including expert witnesses. Draft legal pleadings, including disclosure statements, discovery requests, and motions. Appear for court hearings and oral arguments. Assist with and participate in trial activities, including preparation of motions in limine, witness preparations, and direct and cross-examinations. Enter time in a billing software program. Respond to phone calls and emails from clients, witnesses, and other attorneys in a professional manner.

The candidate must be attentive to detail, be able to prioritize, and have a good working knowledge of medical malpractice statutes and rules and civil litigation processes and deadlines.
